Indian Air Force Invites Online applications for the courses commencing in July 2018 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) / Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branches.

Educational Qualification:
A. For Flying Branch: Candidates should possess Graduation with minimum three years Degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent and BE/ B.Tech Degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
B. For Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: Candidates with a minimum of 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognised University.
C. For Ground Duty (Non-technical) Branch: Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% mark OR B. Com. degree (Minimum three years degree course) from a recognised university OR MBA / MCA or MA / M Sc degree in English / Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Statistics / International relations / International Studies / Defence Studies / Psychology / Computer Science / IT /Management / Mass Communication / Journalism / Public Relation with a minimum of 50% marks.

Scale of pay:
A. Flying Branch:  Rs. 85,372/- pm.
B. Ground Duty (Tech) Branch: Rs. 74,872/- pm.
C. Ground Duty (Non-tech) Branch: Rs. 71,872/-
pm.

Age Limit: As on 01-07-2017, Minimum 20 years and maximum 24 years age for Flying Branch & minimum 20 years and maximum 26 years for Ground Duty Branch.

Selection Process: All applicants whose applications are submitted by due date will be called for AFCAT on 27 August 2017 (Sunday) at one of the examination centres mentioned at para 14 (b). Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) will also be conducted for Ground Duty (Technical) branch along with AFCAT. AFCAT will be for two hours and will contain multiple choice questions on verbal ability, numerical ability, reasoning, general awareness and military aptitude. EKT would be for 45 minutes and conducted immediately after AFCAT.
